Programming Mentor

As an alumnus of FIRST, robotics holds a special meaning to me. I also credit robotics for helping me to make a career choice before enrolling in college. FIRST also provided an extra-curricular activity for me in High School, where opportunities were limited for non-athletic students. For these reasons, I jumped at the opportunity to mentor students in this important STEM activity.

• Mentored students on programming fundamentals
• Provided technical guidance to solve complex software challenges under tight deadlines
• Encouraged students to investigate alternative ideas by providing data-backed rationale and encouraging experimentation with new/unfamiliar technology
